–Doc retired and married in early 1950
–Doc did NOT marry the Mayan princess; he
married a reformed con-woman
–Patricia was born in late 1950
•Where did Farmer get his information?
–Doc and his wife missing and presumed dead
in early 1972, shortly before the events of the unpublished MS
begin, so it could only have been from Patricia Wildman
–But Doc’s “death” may
have been a ruse
–If so, Doc could also have given Farmer
this information
–Either way, Farmer isn’t talking
